Custom software

Custom software for companies that have outgrown Excel

When a company runs on spreadsheets, email and whatever people remember, it loses time and makes mistakes. We build a system around the way you work. In stages, with the first version in use as early as possible.

When it’s time for your own software

You retype data by hand

An order from email into a spreadsheet, from the spreadsheet into accounting, then into a report. Every retype costs time and invites mistakes.

The spreadsheet has versions

Files like “final_v3_fixed.xlsx” go around and nobody knows which one is current. Two people can’t work in the same file at once.

Only one person knows

When a colleague is off sick, nobody knows where an order stands. A system keeps the status and history for you.

Off-the-shelf doesn’t fit

You pay for dozens of features you never use, and the one you need is missing.

How development works

  1. 1

    Free consultation

We go through how you work today, where time gets lost and what mistakes cost you. No specification needed.

  2. 2

    Design and estimate

We design the screens and split the work into stages, each with an estimate of hours and cost.

  3. 3

    First version

We ship the smallest version that saves you work first. You use it for real and tell us what to change.

  4. 4

    Growth and support

We add features step by step. Fixes, updates and backups are on us.

Why we build in stages

Most of the money wasted on custom software goes into features nobody ends up using. The usual story: six months of specs, a year of development, and at launch it turns out people work differently than the spec assumed. That’s where custom software got its reputation for being expensive and unusable.

So we start with the smallest version that’s genuinely useful in daily work. For example, order tracking for a single department. Your people start using it, and only real data shows what’s needed next. The money goes into features that actually get used.

You pay per stage at €50 per hour. After each stage, you decide whether to continue, change direction or stop. You own the software and the data, so you don’t depend on us.

Price

€50/hour

Development is billed at €50 per hour. After a free consultation, you get an estimate split into stages. You pay as you go and decide on each next stage.

What would your system cost?

Answer seven questions and see a ballpark price right away. Then send the estimate with your enquiry in one click.

How many areas should the system cover?

An area is, for example, orders, inventory, service or attendance.

How many people will use it?
Will people have different permissions?
How many other systems should it connect to?

Accounting, e-shop, CRM, email…

Do we migrate data from spreadsheets?
Do you need it on mobile?
Will your customers use it too?

Ballpark estimate

€2,000to €3,500

40–70 hours of work at €50/hour.

This is a rough estimate. We’ll give you an exact price after a consultation where we go through the details. Often the first version can be smaller and cheaper.

Frequently asked questions

How is the price of custom software calculated?

Hours times €50. After the consultation, we split the project into stages, each with its own estimate. You pay per stage, so the budget stays under control and you can decide after each stage whether to continue.

How soon can we start using the software?

We first build the smallest version that saves you work, usually one process or one area. We ship it as early as possible and add features step by step based on real use. We give you a concrete date after the consultation.

What if we don’t know exactly what we need?

That’s normal. In the consultation we go through how you work and where time gets lost. We write the brief ourselves. You don’t need a technical specification.

Can you connect it to the systems we already use?

Yes, as long as they have an API or can export data. That covers most accounting tools, e-shops, CRMs, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. We migrate your spreadsheet data into the new system.

Who owns the source code and data?

You do. The software, data and access are yours. If you want to continue with another vendor, we hand over everything they need.

Who looks after the software after launch?

We do. We fix bugs, install updates and add new features. We agree on the level of support based on how much your operations depend on the system.

Why not an off-the-shelf app?

For standard areas like accounting or payroll, off-the-shelf is the right call. Custom software pays off where your company works differently from others, where you pay for dozens of features you never use, or where several systems need to work together.

Where does your company lose the most time?

We reply within 24 hours and the consultation is free.
